Horton Foote’s The Trip to Bountiful opens Nov. 13 at Pentacle Theatre

Pentacle Theatre opens Horton Foote’s The Trip to Bountiful, on Friday, Nov. 13, for a run that ends Dec. 5.
This is the poignant story of Mrs. Watts, an aging widow living with her son and daughter-in-law in a three-room flat in Houston. Fearing that her presence may be an imposition to others, and chafing under the watchful eye of her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Watts imagines that if she can get away and return to her old home in the town of Bountiful, she is sure to regain her strength, dignity, and peace of mind.
Jo Dodge directs Pentacle Theatre’s production of The Trip to Bountiful with the help of apprentice director Heathre Powell. The cast includes Craig Kalepp, Joyce Kemp, John Maas, Jordan Mackor, Jim Nice, Hannah Alice Patterson and Erika Zuelke.
Well known for the 1985 film with same title, this play was recently revived on Broadway.
Pentacle Theatre’s production of The Trip to Bountiful is generously sponsored by Rich Ford, Windermere Pacific Properties.
