[vc_row 0=””][vc_column][vc_column_text 0=””]David Ballantyne received the American Association of Community Theatre’s Region IX honor for outstanding performance by an actor for his portrayal of Jerry in Pentacle Theatre’s production of The Zoo Story.

Thanks to generous support from the Pentacle Theatre community, The Zoo Story production team was able to travel to Boise to compete.

“I’m very honored and humbled to have been awarded but there was a huge team involved and they all deserve recognition. I’d be nowhere without Patrick Moser onstage with me, he was a prince onstage and off,” David posted on Facebook shortly after the award ceremony.

“Thank you to everyone in the Pentacle Theatre community who supported us and helped us get to Boise. This honor is for you!”

Region IX includes Idaho, Oregon and Washington.

Congratulations to Tacoma Musical Theatre for advancing to nationals and Boise Little Theatre for winning a spot as an alternate representative of the region.
